Don't let their diminutive size fool you. Chihuahuas are feisty, opinionated little dynamos. They often appoint themselves tiny guardians of their domain, barking fiercely at perceived threats (which is often just the mail carrier). While they form intense, almost possessive bonds with their chosen person, they can be wary of strangers and even other dogs. Their big personalities mean they demand attention and love to be pampered, often burrowing under blankets or snuggling into the warmest lap available.
