The Xoloitzcuintli, or Xolo, is a captivating and ancient companion. They form an intensely devoted bond with their chosen people, often shadowing them from room to room. Beneath their often-striking hairless appearance (though coated varieties exist), lies a calm and watchful nature. While typically reserved with strangers, a Xolo’s loyalty is fierce, making them excellent, albeit sometimes vocal, guardians. They thrive on warmth and comfort, often burrowing under blankets, and enjoy a surprising amount of playful energy bursts, followed by long, contented naps nestled close to their family.
