The Ca de Bou, or Majorca Mastiff, is a calm and affectionate guardian, devoted to their family with an almost unwavering loyalty. They carry themselves with a dignified air, but beneath that stoic exterior lies a surprisingly playful spirit, especially with those individuals they trust. Historically used for bull baiting, they retain a formidable presence and a confident, sometimes aloof, nature with strangers. While not overly energetic, they thrive on companionship and need mental stimulation to prevent boredom. Their protective instincts are strong, making them excellent watchdogs who will bravely stand their ground.
