Privacy Policy

Account deletion

You can delete your Kahu account from Account settings in the app. After you confirm, your account enters a 30-day pending deletion period. During that window you can sign in and restore the account. After 30 days we permanently remove your login identity and personal contact data.

If you shared a family with other caregivers, your first name may remain on care activities you logged so the household can understand the pet's history. We do not keep your email or password on those records after purge.

Subscriptions and family access

In-app purchases and family Entitlement billing are not live yet. When billing ships, premium access will be family-scoped; residual paid-period wind-down after a payer deletes their account will be described here only once that behavior is enabled in product.

Marketing and notifications

Product tip email and marketing push are opt-in (default off) when those controls are available in Privacy settings. Care reminders and emergency notifications are separate from marketing.

Data export

You can request an account data export from Privacy settings. Fulfillment is by email with a time-limited download link when that path is enabled. You may also email privacy@kahu.dog.

Crash diagnostics

The Kahu mobile app uses Sentry to capture crashes and App Hangs so we can fix them. We turn off Sentry's default personal-information collection and we do not use Sentry for product analytics or advertising. Crash events are stored in the EU (Frankfurt). Separately, the app can upload a first-party Issue Report after a client crash so our team can triage in Kahu; that report may be anonymous.

Service providers

We use service providers to run Kahu. As of this working summary they include: Better Auth (sign-in), Google (sign-in and maps/places), Apple (sign-in and App Store), Vercel (hosting), PostgreSQL via Prisma (database), Expo (push delivery), Vercel AI Gateway and model providers (in-app advisor, where enabled), Tally (waitlist), Resend (email), and Sentry (mobile crash diagnostics). This is not a counsel-reviewed processor schedule. Clinic PIMS integrations are limited or future.

Sale of personal information

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Contact

We email confirmation when deletion is requested (with the scheduled purge date), a reminder before purge, when an account is restored, and when purge completes. Support: support@kahu.dog.
