Description
The Swedish Vallhund is a spirited, big dog in a small dog’s body, with an uncanny ability to herd anything that moves, from livestock to the household cat. Their herding instinct, honed over centuries, manifests as a playful nip at the heels or a persistent nudge to keep their people "together." Highly intelligent and always up for an adventure, they thrive on mental and physical challenges, quickly becoming bored without engagement. Vallhunds are wonderfully vocal, using barks, yips, and a unique "woo-woo" sound to communicate their thoughts and feelings, making them endearing, if sometimes noisy, companions. They form deep, loyal bonds, always eager to be part of the family action.
